Communicating in High school
For some of us, communicating with our classmates can be difficult for many reasons. We sometimes tend to get nervous and our face turns red when talking to someone you might have a crush on. Another reason having to work together with others that you don't get along with. On the other hand, it is very important to communicate with other students because we can learn many things from each other. In High School we might meet people who we might be working with or working for and its important to start getting important contacts. I learned it might be hard trying to talk to someone we have never seen before but once we get to meet them, we start learning different things and from a different perspective.
Bernie, I believe you have touched a few of the areas that students have challenges with in the communication process. Having to cooperate, collaborate, and produce work with another person takes communication. So many high school students let their emotions distract them because they are worried about how people their age judge them or see them. Just because a student is put into an assigned group activity, doesn't mean that they have to be best friends with the members, but they do need to learn to be able to meet the goals of the assignments. This is similar to the workplace. We don't always want to do certain tasks with fellow coworkers, but often times, our work requires it, so we learn to be "professional".
ReplyDeleteBernie, i do believe that we do get nervous when we talk to other because we are use to just talking by phone. also by talking to others we learn about them and learn new things.
ReplyDeleteBernie, it think it is important communicating with people especially people who have an important job and could lead us to have connections with them or other people. Contacting with other people could lead to many opportunities.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with you about how people get nervous when they have to speak with some who they have never meet before. I Believe it's technology that has made people forget how to act around people since their not behind a screen.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it can be hard talking to people who you have never met, but doing so can get you a new friend and can communicate in many ways after that. Also that communicating can let you learn a lot about the people who are around us.

ReplyDeleteYour statement is true, I think sometimes we might feel overwhelmed to communicate with certain people. I don't think we should feel like this because after all we do have to progress as an individual.
